EZ WAY Real-Name Verification Guide for Taiwan Orders Shipped via ECMS

Quick answer: Taiwan Customs requires real-name authentication when private importers bring in goods under their own names. If your order ships via ECMS, register and verify in the EZ WAY app, enter your correct name and mobile number when ordering, and tap "Confirm" when EZ WAY sends the declaration notice.

This rule from Taiwan Customs prevents identity theft and the import of prohibited or illegal items. If your order ships via ECMS, one of our carriers, you will receive an SMS reminder and a link to proceed with real-name authentication.

Quick overview

1. Download the EZ WAY app and complete EZ WAY member registration and real-name verification.
2. When ordering, fill in the recipient's correct name and phone or mobile number.
3. When your goods arrive in Taiwan from overseas, EZ WAY sends a pre-appointed declaration notification. Check that the declaration contents are correct as soon as possible, then tap "Declare Conformity".

Detailed instructions

Register and verify

1. Download EZ WAY (易利委) on the App Store or Google Play.
2. Open the EZ WAY app and tap [Sign up].
3. Choose your nationality and the credentials you have.
4. If you are from Mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao and hold a resident certificate, choose [China, Hong Kong, Macao]; the Chinese name is required. For all other countries choose [Other Country]; the Chinese name is optional.
5. Take photos of both sides of your Resident Certificate.
6. On the preview page, tap the arrow at the lower right to continue.
7. Fill in all fields and tap the arrow at the lower right.
8. Agree to all terms and conditions, then tap the arrow to send a verification code by SMS.
9. Enter the code you received and tap [VERIFY]. If no SMS arrives, check your phone number, check that SMS blocking is off, or tap [Change Phone Number].
10. Once the code is accepted, the application is complete. Customs may take about 30 minutes to review it. Tap [Main page] to return to the main page.
11. After approval you receive an email notification, and the main page shows [validated] and [Success].

Confirm your parcel declaration

12. When the parcel arrives in Taiwan, the customs broker submits the declaration. You then get a push notification from EZ WAY. A number at the top right of the REAL NAME AUTHORIZATION function shows how many declarations await your confirmation.
13. In REAL NAME AUTHORIZATION, the declaration records are listed. Tap the arrow for more details.
14. The declared price and goods description help you judge whether the parcel is yours. Tap [Inquire Customs Clearance Procedures] to see its clearance flow.
15. If you have questions about a shipment that has arrived in Taiwan, contact the courier, freight forwarder or customs broker.
16. If there is a false declaration, tap [Denied] to report it to Customs and choose the reason. The status changes from Not Yet Replied to Denied.
17. If the declaration is correct, tap [Confirm]. The status changes from Not Yet Replied to Confirm.
18. Tap the arrow to view the Total Tax Amount and details.
